Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

A very structured approach to treatment.  This Program is a viable alternative for clients who cannot be removed from their jobs or family during treatment.  IOP helps each client build an extensive personal support network and formal continuing care plan to maintain long-term abstinence by increasing client involvement in local 12-step groups while decreasing reliance on clinical treatment.

IOP clients meet three times a week for 3 hours each session.  As progress continues clients meeting times are reduced to twice and then once a week as they move into NCA/LRA's outpatient programs.  Clients must meet criteria for a diagnosis of substance dependence.  Most have suffered serious consequences as a result of substance abuse and many have been in treatment before.
